Quickstart Guide for Using Your My Dreamco Creator Account

Following are screen shots and an explanation of how to use our online system for uploading your web comics and stories.


After you sign up for an account you will be taken to the "My Content" page. This page can be accessed from the "My Content" link in the main navigation bar at the top of the main site pages when you are logged in to the system. On this page, you will first create a "site," which is an area where you will store all of your comics and stories. To do this, simply click on the blue "Create a New Site" link.

 

Next, type a name and description of your site into the text boxes and click the "Create" button. Notice that if you need to get back to a previous page you can click on one of the links in the "Admin Controls" section at the top of the page. For example, if you wanted to go back to the first page, you would click on the "My Content" link.



After you've created your site, you will create a series. A series is a collection of comics or chapters of a story. To add a series, click on the blue "Add a New Series" link.



Next, choose the Series Type (either Comic or Story) from the drop down menu. This is so your series can be listed in the correct category when users are searching for you on our website. Then, enter a name and description for your series in the text boxes.


If your series contains content that is inappropriate for children (i.e., adult jokes - please see our Terms of Service for more information) check the "Mature" checkbox so your series will be listed as containing mature content. If you want to use a small calendar as a form of navigation on your series pages, check the "Show Calendar" checkbox. This is a good idea if you publish a web comic as it makes navigation a little easier for your users. If you don't check this box, navigation between episodes of your series will be via a drop down menu.
